Welcome
 Queensland artist and designer
Mark Beaumont has had a reasonably straightforward background.
For Mark, the story began at the Brisbane College of Art in 1976. Travel led to London where he studied photography under David Fairman. Returning to Australia, Mark worked in the field of Retail Display with the Myer and McDonnell and East chains. During this time and while earlier working as an engraver and jeweller, Mark's collection of works grew and in 1983 his first exhibition was held at the Lionel Lindsay Gallery. The "Magician's Fair" exhibition has since been followed by the "Face to Face" exhibition in 1986 with photographer John Elliott, and several permanent exhibitions at restaurants and galleries in and around his home city of Toowoomba. 1988 saw the Canberra launch of a touring exhibition "The Guided Search" - an exhibition of Mark's illustrations inspired by the Books of the Malloreon by David Eddings. The story continues in 1989 with further exhibitions planned for June and November. Mark Beaumont, at age 50 lives in Helidon, Queensland where his commercial art and gallery firm "Illustrators ink" has attained remarkable success in it's 22 years. Whilst Mark's commercial ventures blossom, his concentration on his ever expanding collection will ensure continued prominence for Beaumont's artistic achievements.
